Hemp Knightz CannaNews™ Missouri News Missouri Advocates Concerned About Marijuana 'Microbusiness' Eligibility Rules Advocates in Missouri are expressing concern that the state's new cannabis regulations could exclude many victims of the War on Drugs from obtaining microbusiness licenses. The Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) recently released a list of ZIP codes considered to have high incarceration rates for marijuana-related offenses, but none are in North St. Louis, where about half of the state's Black population resides. Critics argue that the state's data, which only goes back 20 years, does not accurately reflect the impact of marijuana criminalization on Black communities. In response to these concerns, the DHSS has issued an eligibility variance, allowing applicants to provide other documentation to show eligibility. https://www.marijuanamoment.net/missouri-advocates-worry-that-marijuana-microbusiness-eligibilit...

This comes after the NFL's policy change in 2020, which no longer suspends players for testing positive for cannabis and limits the drug testing period to the first two weeks of training camp. The policy change also increased the threshold for a positive cannabis drug test from 35 to 150 nanograms of THC. Kelce's estimate aligns with those of other former NFL players, some of whom suggest the number could be even higher. https://hightimes.com/sports/travis-kelce-estimates-up-to-80-of-nfl-players-smoke-pot-others-say-its-higher/ US National News Cannabis Policy Updates Across Multiple States Several states, including Connecticut, Illinois, and New York, have made significant strides in cannabis policy reform.
